2026-2027 Indiana Thespians Regional Play Competition Entry 

Some towns are so small you could drive through without ever noticing — but stop for a minute, and you'll find no shortage of stories. One Stoplight Town unfolds through interwoven vignettes centered on the people living under the glow of the town's one traffic light: a young boy and girl falling in love, a set-in-his-ways grocery store owner making peace with change, a son returning home just as his sister dreams of leaving, a handyman quietly fixing what's broken while he watches it all unfold, and an unlikely friendship blooming between a beauty queen and a drum major. Funny, warm, and a little chaotic, the play captures both the humor and heartache of a place where everybody knows everybody — and where change, however small, touches every single person in town.
